How It works
- Player sends a message to the lottery short code
- Mobile Network Operator forwards the message to Bluewater Group (Lottery Operator) where lottery system automatically generates a ticket number
- Lottery sends back another message bearing the electronic ticket number
- Electronic ticket is stored in players phone
- Draw is conducted and winners are notified via SMS, phone calls and / or radio/television.
Because every handset supports SMS, the lottery attracts more players, increases revenues and reduces traditional lottery costs of printing tickets and distributing them.
